Sloping off

£75.00

Limited edition linocut print (unframed)

10.1 x 15.3 cm (printed area)

Number of prints in the edition: 20

‘Sloping off’ takes in the sky above Ynys Seiriol (Puffin Island) as seen from Garreg Fawr in the foothills of the Carneddau mountains, North Wales.

I have hand-pressed each print in the edition to Somerset Satin — a gentle-textured 250 gsm English archival paper that is mould-made from 100 % cotton at St. Cuthbert’s Mill, Wells. The ink used is Hawthorn Stay Open carbon black oil-based ink and the prints are pressed with a hand-held baren and a silver spoon. The sheets have been hand-torn to size to create faux deckles; each sheet measures approximately 18 x 23 cm.

The edition is limited to 20 prints in total, each of which is signed, dated, numbered and titled in soft pencil beneath the printed area.

Please note: the photo of the framed print is given for illustrative purposes only. The prints are sold unframed.
