Garreg Fawr is a prominent hill on the northern slope of the Carneddau mountains in North Wales. Its long flank rises above an enclosed hut circle and tapers down towards the site of a Roman road that once linked the fort of Canovium (Caerhun) in Dyffryn Conwy with that at Segontium (Caernarfon). Carneddau ponies run freely over the hill and are frequently visitors to the crag of Garreg Fawr.

Each print in the edition has been individually hand-pressed to Sunome Senaka using a baren and silver spoon and printed with Intaglio carbon black oil-based ink.

Sunome Senaka is a bright-white and very lightweight acid-free Japanese paper (52 gsm). It has a ribbed laid side and a smooth side onto which I have printed the impression. The ribbing makes for a very tough paper which responds extremely well to a baren. That said, it needs careful handling. The sheets I have used measure approximately 39.5 x 27.3 cm.

Each print has been signed, titled, dated, and editioned in soft pencil beneath the printed area.
